THE CONSULTATION
The 90 minute in person consultation will take place within your garden. Whether we talking about the garden layout, suitable planting combinations or a complimentary mix of landscaping materials, the advice session can be used to answer all of your garden questions. Mood boards can be shared during the session.
Lucy will provide inspirational ideas and reassuring advice to point you in the right direction, helping you to make informed decisions on your garden.
WRITTEN REPORT
A written report will detail Lucy's garden recommendations, with planting, hard landscaping and styling suggestions.
GARDEN DESIGN PROCESS
PHASE 1 | SITE VISIT & CONSULTATION
The design process starts with a site visit and initial consultation, where we can get a feel for the existing space and discuss your ideas and inspiration and how you wish to use the site. A written brief will follow, detailing a summary of the project and a fee proposal.
PHASE 2 | CONCEPT DESIGN
Following a topographical survey; which will be conducted by a land surveyor and carried out to capture the layout of the site, levels, existing vegetation and features; a hand drawn 2D concept design will be created - with the focus at this stage being on the overall layout. Mood boards will be produced to support the concept plan.
PHASE 3 | MASTERPLAN
Once the concept has been agreed, a hand drawn 2D masterplan will be produced, detailing the garden layout. A materials mood board, planting palette and lighting plan will be proposed, reflecting the character of the hard landscaping and planting. 3D garden visualisations can be created at this stage, to bring the design plans to life.
PHASE 4 | PLANTING SCHEDULE & PLAN
A planting schedule will detail a full list of plants, with illustrations of all plants. A planting plan will show the location of each of the proposed plants.
PHASE 5 | PROJECT MONITORING
Once the design plans have been agreed, reputable landscape contractors can be invited to tender for the construction of the garden, or we will welcome you to use contractors of your choosing. Once the build is underway, we offer site visits to monitor progress, respond to changes and ensure the project is built according to plan.
PHASE 6 | PLANTING & MAINTENANCE
The plants will be sourced and delivered to site and Lucy will personally set all of the plants out within prepared borders ready for the landscapers to plant. Maintenance guides, landscape management plans and ongoing development plans can be prepared if required.
